Education First

Overview
In spring 2025, I completed my first co-op at Education First as a Customer Loyalty and Engagement Co-op. This role was my first professional corporate position, where I developed my professional skills in areas such as identifying strengths and communication styles.
What I worked on
Worked with various clients, providing scholarships and rewards to repeat clients. Conducted market research to inform decisions and assisted in developing the Student Ambassador Program.
Identified a pain point within the Global Ambassador Program and built a "hub" to help clients address it.
Reflection
Think beyond your role
When I heard a recurring pain point from clients I spoke with, I took the opportunity to come up with a solution. Even though it wasn't part of my responsibilities, I thought about the bigger picture and went above and beyond. This ultimately created a lasting impact on the team, motivating me to continue thinking beyond my role in future positions.
Sometimes, the best thing you can do is ask
Rather than trying to read clients' minds or doing external research, asking clients directly and listening to their pain points can be one of the best ways to improve customer service and create customer loyalty. Despite this not being a traditional marketing role, I applied my marketing skills to identify trends and make informed decisions.
